Controller
The data controller is Tapewise. For any question about your data, or to exercise your rights, write to contact@tapewise.app.
The site
The site uses no cookies, analytics, pixels or tracking. Your browser only remembers the language you pick, on your device. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses technically to run it and protect it from attacks.
The waitlist
- What we keep: the email you enter, the page's language and the date you joined.
- Why: to tell you when Tapewise sales open. No newsletter or advertising, and the email is never given to anyone.
- Legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time by writing to us: we delete the email straight away.
- For how long: until you ask us to delete it, and no longer than 12 months after sales open.
- Where: in a Cloudflare database kept in the European Union; the nightly backups, on Cloudflare in Europe, delete themselves after 90 days. When someone joins we only get a notice with the number of people on the list, never the email.
Customers
- What we keep: your Discord account's ID, name and username; order code, plan, amount and PayPal transaction ID; the licence's expiry; a one-way (hashed) fingerprint of your PC, to tie the licence to one computer; the days on which the app checked the licence and its version; the logs you choose to send us from the app for support, which arrive in a private channel of our Discord server.
- What we don't keep: your Rithmic password and account data (they stay on your PC), your trades, your settings, any payment data beyond the above.
- Why: to provide the licence, updates and support (performance of a contract, art. 6(1)(b)) and for tax and accounting obligations (art. 6(1)(c)).
- For how long: for the life of the licence and then for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting records.
- Where: in the Cloudflare database in the European Union, with backups on Cloudflare in Europe kept for 90 days; support logs on Discord.
Who helps us
We use Cloudflare for the site, the licence server and downloads. Discord and PayPal process your data as independent controllers, under their own policies: Discord for the server and sign-in, PayPal for payment.
Your rights
You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, object to its processing, receive it in a readable format and withdraw your consent, by writing to contact@tapewise.app. We reply within one month. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it).
